Rookie (age 7)
This is the highest level in the Clinic Division. Players playing in this division shall be League age 7. TWLL recommends that players in this division to have previously played in either Tee Ball or Coach Pitch division. Rookie Level baseball is designed to be a transition from the Clinic Divisions to the more competitive upper divisions of Little League.
**Please note: 7Us who have previously played in the Rookie division are eligible to play in the Minor A division. Placement on a Minor A team is not guaranteed for 7Us. 7Us wishing to play in Minor A must register for Rookie, attend the Evaluation Day in January, and then be drafted onto a Minor A team. Roster spots for 7Us are not guaranteed. 8Us may be eligible to play in the Rookie division by exceptional approval.
In this division, the games are played on a full size Little League field. Players hit off of the Blue Flame pitching machine, but if they do not put the ball in play after their allotted number of pitches, they may hit the ball off of a tee. Runs are not counted in this division and there are no wins or losses, but teams are encouraged to keep track of "outs" to foster competitive play.
Teams bat 1/2 of their lineup each inning and all players play defense on the field.
